Our next meeting will be on Thursday, May 21st,
6:30 pm, at St. Luke Church in the Social Hall. This is our annual Plant Auction which is our only fundraiser. This event is limited to members only.
*
Guests and non-members are welcome to join us for the June Picnic at the Bloomsburg Christian Church on Deussen Drive.
*
The Herb of the Month for May will be Sweet Woodruff presented by Cynthia S.
*
Please remember to bring your place setting for
snacks after the meeting. Also bring plants to donate
for the Plant Auction early so the committee can sort them. The Wish List is on the Programs Web Page.
*
Remember to label your plant care tags and bring your address labels to bid on plants at our silent auction. Small bills are helpful (no $20's) to make
your purchases if you win. A box to haul your plants
to the car is also helpful.
*
Thanks to Juniper B, our VP, who presented a program on Herbs, Flowers and Skin Care. Recipes for making some of these products are located on the Recipes web page. She discussed the importance of a daily skin care routine with scrubs, moisturizers, exfoliants and sunscreen.
*
Our Bus Trip will be completed by our next meeting. On May 7th we're on our way to the J J Audubon Center at Mill Grove and Chanticleer in the Philadelphia area. The next day we travel to the Lancaster area for the Herb and Garden Fair at Landis Valley Museum.
*
There are a few seats still available for this bus trip.
Details can be found on the Garden Trips web page.
Call JoAnn to firm up your place on the trip.
