The New News
The next Guild meeting will be held Thursday, September 12th, at 6:30 pm. We will be meeting in 
the Activities Room. The program is: Italian Night ~ 
Spaghetti Dinner, "Secret Pasta Sauce Recipe" shared 
by Larry DeMatt. The Herb-of-the-Month is Oregano 
and will be presented by Marion Krum.

Our August program was presented by John Esslinger, Extension Educator, with the topic "Vegetable Problems 2019 -What's in your Garden? ".

Some of the delicious refreshment recipes from the August meeting have been posted on the Recipes web page. Our hostesses shared some of their culinary favorites using thyme, the herb of the month.

On Thursday, Aug 22nd, from 6 to 7:30pm there will 
be a "Meet the Master Gardeners" night at the Penn 
State Ext Ag Services Bldg, Sawmill Rd, Bloomsburg.

Our Guild needs books for children and adults to put
in our garden library box at the Bloomsburg Town Park. It is being used and books need to be replaced. Give them to Tammy D at the next meeting.

Master Gardener Training will be held on Thursday evenings, 6-8:45 pm beginning this October and 
running through March in Bloomsburg. Contact Mary

Herb Guild cookbooks are available at the sign-in 
table at each meeting. Cost is now $10.00 and they 
make a unique gift for flavorful recipes.
